OAH: The American Historian

We developed a magazine portal for The American Historian, a publication of the Organization of American Historians (OAH).

Administrative Controls

Custom programming was added to the Content Management System that automates the layout based on the content entered. This allows the OAH staff to create each issue and maintain past issues through their administrative controls.

Responsive Layout

The custom layout was coded to display optimally on any device. This design was applied to everything from image and text to form elements.

User Interface

Navigating users through the magazine efficiently was a major design goal. Traveling between articles, content, and monthly issues had to be handled by clear user interface decisions.
